A New ACA Study Abroad Experience in the City of Light

Paris is one of them.
For summer 2027, ACA is bringing its Study Abroad experience to Paris, France! ACA @ Paris gives high school students the opportunity to spend their summer immersed in one of the world’s most iconic cities while combining academic enrichment, cultural exploration, international travel, and the independence-building experiences that make a summer abroad so memorable.
For students who have dreamed of walking along the Seine, standing beneath the Eiffel Tower, exploring world-famous museums, sampling authentic French cuisine, or simply experiencing what everyday life in Paris feels like, this new program offers an exciting way to turn that dream into a summer-of-a-lifetime.
Welcome to Paris
Set along the banks of the Seine, Paris is a city where history and modern European culture exist side by side.
Each morning begins with two enriching electives before students head out to explore the city with our amazing staff. An afternoon could mean visiting a museum, walking through a historic neighborhood, exploring a local market, or discovering another side of Paris with new friends. In the evening, students can experience the city together before returning to their accommodations in the heart of Paris.
From the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe to the Louvre and Musée d’Orsay, there is no shortage of iconic destinations to discover. Students can wander through the historic streets of Le Marais, explore Montmartre, stroll along the Champs-Élysées, relax in beautiful Parisian gardens, browse fashionable boutiques, and experience the café culture that makes the city so distinctive.
The result is an experience in which Paris isn’t simply the backdrop.

Enrichment That Brings Paris to Life
ACA @ Paris is designed to balance meaningful enrichment with the fun and excitement of experiencing one of the world’s most iconic cities.
Students take two enrichment electives each weekday morning, Monday through Friday, giving them the opportunity to explore subjects they’re passionate about while connecting their learning to the culture, history, and energy of Paris.

ACA electives are designed exclusively for our students and go beyond the traditional classroom. In Paris, the city itself becomes part of the learning experience.

What makes ACA’s French Language elective so unique? Students don’t just learn French in the classroom—they have opportunities to experience it all around them.
Ordering lunch at a café. Asking for directions. Exploring a neighborhood market. Navigating the city. Reading signs. Chatting with locals.
In Paris, everyday experiences can become opportunities to practice what students learn in class. As they explore the city and immerse themselves in French culture, students can build confidence using the language in real-world situations.
College Credit in Paris
For students who choose the French Language elective, the academic experience can go even further.
Students enrolled in the two- or three-week Paris program can earn three college credits upon successful completion of the French Language elective. College credits are conferred through Marist College for an additional fee, and official university transcripts with course credit and grades will be sent to students. The credits are transferable to most universities, according to their individual standards.
For students thinking about college already, it’s an opportunity to make a summer abroad academically meaningful while experiencing a completely different educational environment.
Beyond the Classroom: The City Is Part of the Program
ACA’s Paris program combines morning enrichment electives with a full schedule of afternoon and evening activities. After electives and lunch, students choose from a variety of Freedom-of-Choice Activities, all led and supervised by ACA staff. This gives students the opportunity to explore Paris based on their interests while enjoying the support and guidance of their ACA team.
Want to explore? Grab a crêpe, macaron, or French ice cream and discover the streets of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. More into sports? Join a pickup game of fútbol with new friends. Looking for a quintessential Paris experience? Take an evening cruise along the Seine or watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle after dark.
Freedom-of-Choice Activities give students the chance to make their Paris experience their own while spending time with friends, trying new things, and discovering the city beyond the classroom—all with ACA staff there to lead the way.
These are the experiences that bring Paris to life. Students aren’t simply visiting France—they’re experiencing its culture, exploring its neighborhoods, making new friends, and creating memories that extend far beyond the classroom
Weekend Adventures Take Students Beyond Paris
Paris may be the home base, but the adventure doesn’t stop at the city limits.
Students participating in the three-week program will have the opportunity to explore Versailles, Reims, and London, in addition to their Paris experience.
Versailles
Just outside Paris, Versailles offers a glimpse into the grandeur of French royal history.
Students can explore the magnificent Palace of Versailles, including the famous Hall of Mirrors and royal apartments, before heading outside to experience the palace’s expansive gardens, fountains, sculptures, and tree-lined paths.
It’s history brought to life, and another example of how ACA’s approach allows students to experience their destination rather than simply read about it.
Reims
The three-week program also includes a visit to Reims, a beautiful city in France’s Champagne region known for its impressive Gothic cathedral, historic streets, and rich cultural heritage.
And then there’s London, for the 2 week and 3 week student!
From Paris to London
One of the highlights of ACA @ Paris is the opportunity to add another iconic European city to the experience.
London is included in both the two- and three-week Paris programs, giving students the chance to cross the Channel and experience the energy, history, architecture, and culture of the United Kingdom as part of their summer adventure.
It’s a remarkable way to expand a French study abroad experience into a broader European adventure.
Students aren’t simply visiting one international destination.
They’re building a summer filled with experiences across Europe.
A Comfortable Home Base in the Heart of Paris
After a full day of classes, activities, and exploration, students need a place where they can relax and recharge.
ACA’s Paris students stay in upscale hotel accommodations in the city center, featuring air conditioning and private baths. The program also maintains an 8:1 student-to-staff ratio, providing students with a supportive environment while they’re navigating their international experience.
ACA also provides local private transportation for the group and strongly encourages students traveling internationally to utilize the ACA-staffed group flight from the New York area.
For students flying on the group flight, ACA staff are there from airport check-in through arrival in Paris and remain with students throughout the journey. Families outside the New York area can work with ACA to make connecting arrangements to the group flight, while parents also have the option of bringing students directly to the program.
That combination of independence and support is an important part of the ACA experience: students get the excitement of traveling abroad while knowing that experienced ACA staff are there to guide them.
Two Weeks or Three? Make Paris Your Own
ACA @ Paris offers both two- and three-week program options for summer 2027.
The three-week session runs June 27th through July 17th, while the two-week session runs July 3rd through July 17th.
The longer experience gives students additional time to settle into Paris, explore more of France, and experience the full range of weekend adventures.
For students who want a shorter international experience, the two-week option offers a concentrated introduction to Parisian culture, academic enrichment, European travel, and the ACA community.
Keep the Adventure Going: Optional European Extensions
For students who aren’t quite ready for the summer to end, ACA also offers optional travel extensions following the Paris experience.
Students can choose to continue their adventure with an optional Greek Isles or Croatian Coastal extension, traveling with ACA staff and friends they’ve made during their summer abroad.
It’s an opportunity to turn one summer destination into an even bigger European journey.
Imagine starting the summer exploring Paris, continuing through London and other French destinations, and then extending the experience to the Greek Islands or Croatia.
For students who love travel, it’s hard to imagine a better way to spend the summer.
