A Timeless City Steeped in Tradition!

As ancient as the Roman Empire and at the cutting edge of cosmopolitan style – a cornerstone of Western culture and a truly international destination. Home to spirited politics, legendary theater and great rock-and-roll, London provides an incredible destination for an unforgettable summer.

Sign up for ACA’s London program, and you’ll be in the midst of a city bustling with classic charm and modern sophistication. Like any capital, its population is diverse and seemingly always on the go. London’s endless energy seems always tempered by proper English manners, making it as inviting as it is energizing.

There’s so much to experience in this remarkable city, from Big Ben to Buckingham Palace and Abbey Road to Piccadilly Circus – a summer in London is bound to be smashing!

Experience Life, British Style

Even amidst so much history, you’ll have ample opportunity to enjoy the moment. For a bird’s-eye view of London, take a spin on the London Eye, the Ferris wheel overlooking the Thames. Don’t miss landmarks like Big Ben, the Tower of London, St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Globe Theatre. Spend a day at the Tate Modern or shopping along Portobello Road in Notting Hill. See the Cabinet War Rooms that housed Winston Churchill’s WWII bunker and watch the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace.

Fancy a break? Grab a seat at a famous London tearoom, enjoy a “cuppa” and watch the world go by. If you prefer to “leg it,” take a stroll along the Thames over the Tower Bridge to the Tower of London and Westminster Abbey.

Travel Through Time

Founded by the Romans at a convenient crossing of the Thames almost 2,000 years ago, London has a long, incredibly rich history. What began as a hodgepodge of tribes and small kingdoms grew to become the heart of the British Empire, one of the world’s great powers.

A stay in London is filled with countless opportunities to experience the intersection of ancient and contemporary world history. London remains one of the most powerful global capitals, the political, economic and cultural heart of Britain, and home to the 2012 Olympic Games!

From the Romans to the Tudors, King Arthur to Queen Elizabeth, English history continues to captivate our imaginations. What Londoners call history, the rest of us call legend!

Location, Location, Location

You may be “across the pond,” but don’t worry – you’re staying in ACA style the whole way. ACA accommodations in London feature a primo locale – right in the heart of the city, in the middle of all the action! A central London location means quick access to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye and all that makes London famous. ACA students expect and deserve safe, relaxing accommodations in a great location!

That’s why we offer the classic comforts of the Arthur Tattersall House. Your residence features unique, “study bedrooms” that come complete with Internet access plus weekly housekeeping. Of course, it’s ACA – even though we’re in one of the safest parts of town, entrance to Tattersall House still requires pass-card access and the facility is under constant surveillance.
