Getting Involved, Giving Back

Spend your summer making a difference. Join us in ACA’s Community Service Program, which allows students to participate in fulfilling service projects earning 36 hours of service.

“Only a life lived in the service to others is worth living.” ACA’s Service Learning course embodies this Albert Einstein quote, providing rewarding opportunities to spend time helping to make D.C. an even better place for its citizens and visitors.

American Collegiate Adventures is committed to helping students participate in social and personal transformation. Our goal is to encourage them to realize the power they have to grow as individuals while contributing to an environment of cultural understanding and mutual respect. Students will find inspiring ways to use their talents. Upon completion, every participant receives a certificate highlighting the total number of hours volunteered and projects completed.

Examples of ACA Service-Learning Projects Include:

  • Helping children at a local day-care center
  • Serving at soup kitchens
  • Distributing food at a food pantry
  • Fund-raising for your favorite charity
  • Supporting our troops abroad with letters and care packages
  • Playing games and engaging in conversation at a senior center

ACA prides itself on being a leader in the pre-college summer enrichment industry and is committed to giving our students access to rewarding community service opportunities. We’re convinced, and educators at every level will agree, that these experiences not only improve the well-being of people around the world, they also produce more well-rounded, socially aware students – the kinds of students colleges want to enroll!
